netivot: Имя этого великого композитора на этом форуме уже несколько раз упоминалось, поэтому думаю будет интересно сообщить, что после долгого молчания он дал несколько интервью, в которых рассказал о подготовке к выпуску сиквела Фантома оперы - завершается стадия написания, с января начинается подготовка, а в октябре-ноябре все желающие приглашаются на премьеру на Бродвей. Немножно только разочаровало официальное название Love never dies, рабочее Once upon another time по-моему звучит лучше и не так мелодраматично. Там же он обьяснил, почему отказался от мысли написать мюзикл по Мастеру и Маргарите - как оказалось, не смог найти соавтора-поэта, способного увидеть в сюжете то же, что и он. Будем надеяться, что это исправимо - идею Фантома-2 он больше 10 лет вынашивал, но всё никак не мог подобрать достойный сюжет.

KaGE: Мне нравится слушать фантома оперы с Сарой Брайтман. Диск даже такой купил. Интересно будет услышать продолжение. netivot, на правах полнейшего оффтопа спрошу, а Loreena McKennitt совсем не цепляет?

Я на Фантома ходил раза 4 в разных местах и фильм пересматривал -дцать раз, но до original cast recording никто и близко не дотягивает. Michael Jackson Andrew met Michael in 1988 when The Phantom of the Opera was playing on Broadway. Michael came to see the show several times and loved the theatricality of the show. Andrew said, "I think he had a connection with the lonely, tortured musician. He found the idea of somebody working through music and having a girl as a muse very intriguing ЁC and he loved that there was illusion in the show." Michael approached Andrew about the idea of making a film of the musical, with himself as the Phantom. However, although an interesting concept Andrew felt at that time that it was too early to make the musical into a film. Andrew went on to speak about Michael JacksonЎЇs immense talent. "I saw him a couple of times in concert. Thriller was probably the best stage event I've ever seen. From my musical-theatre perspective, I could see that he was bringing a completely new vision about dance to the stage. A tremendous amount of what he was doing then you see in musicals now. "I would absolutely put him up there with the all-time greatest performers. London's Daily Mail reports that Karimloo and Boggess will star in both the London and Broadway productions of Love Never Dies. Lloyd Webber told the London paper, "I personally feel that what will now happen is that Sierra and Ramin will open in London early next year and then go to New York in the autumn of 2010. I think once the album comes out, hopefully before Christmas, a lot of singers will come out of the woodwork and we'll find new Christines and Phantoms for the other productions." The creative team also includes director Jack O'Brien, lyricist Glenn Slater, choreographer Jerry Mitchell and music supervisor Gareth Valentine. A recent casting notice offered this brief description of Love Never Dies: "In 1907 New York, the mysterious 'Maestro' who runs the theatre at Coney Island announces a one-off concert by legendary Parisian soprano Christine DaaЁ¦. Her arrival in New York with husband Raoul, Victome de Chagny and son Gustave, and their subsequent meeting with the 'Maestro,' bring the cataclysmic events of 10 years earlier at the Paris Opera crashing back into all their lives." Sierra Boggess made her Broadway debut as Ariel in The Little Mermaid, which currently plays the Lunt-Funtanne Theatre. Her stage credits also include Christine in Phantom Las Vegas, Les MisЁ¦rables, West Side Story and the world premiere of Princesses. Ramin Karimloo, who was born in Iran and launched his career in Canada, has performed in the West End productions of Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera and Miss Saigon. Богесс я слышал - не Брайтман, но неплохо, а вот нового офиц. Фантома не знаю. Жаль, что Сарина любовь к клавишникам не позволила ей спеть в фильме, а там глядишь и в сиквеле...

Забавна причина, по которой он это сделал: Известный британский композитор Эндрю Ллойд Уэббер решил оставить мюзикл по роману Михаила Булгакова "Мастер и Маргарита" недописанным. Он заявил, что музыкальное произведение, над которым он начал работать в конце 2006 года, зашло в тупик. Об этом в пятницу вечером сообщает РИА Новости. Выступая на пресс-конференции в Москве, Уэббер рассказал о том, что не знает, как закончить мюзикл. По словам композитора, он столкнулся с трудностью потому, что "роман Булгакова не имеет конца". "При этом я понимаю, что вся аудитория хотела бы, чтобы Маргарита скрылась куда-то с Воландом, а не с Мастером, но это не очень хорошая идея", - цитирует агентство автора мюзикла "Кошки". Интересно, в чьём переводе он читал "Мастера"...
